Tagliatelle with curry cream sauce

A deliciously soft curry sauce that is also packed with hidden vegetables. The zucchini matches the taste of this soft curry sauce perfectly.

Our daughter loves this dish, even though it has zucchini in it. She would never eat zucchini if it was not in this sauce.

This curry sauce is not spicy at all. Ideal as a family dish. Especially if your children are just as fond of shrimp as our daughter.

What do you need?

  • 450 gr (15 oz) shrimp, peeled
  • 300 gr (10 oz) tagliatelle
  • 1 large zucchini, grated
  • 250 ml (8,5 oz) cream, I used light cream
  • 50 gr (2 oz) Grana Padano cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons of curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to make it?

Cook the pasta in a large cooking pot as described on the package.

Meanwhile, fry the shrimp in olive oil, season with garlic powder and a little salt. Do not overcook them.

Remove the shrimp from the frying pan and set aside. Now add the grated zucchini to that same pan. Bake for a few minutes.

When most of the zucchini water has evaporated, add the cream. Also add curry powder and cheese.

Let all this simmer for 3 minutes. Then add the shrimp and season with salt.

Serve with tagliatelle and extra cheese for those who like it.
