Mexican Chicken Fillet

If you like spicy this is definitely something for you. A delicious combination of spicy seasoned chicken and soft cheese sauce that really completes this dish. I serve this chicken with delicious Mexican rice, it goes perfectly with this spicy chicken.

What do you need?

  • 2 chicken fillets
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of chili flakes
  • 2 teaspoons paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of pepper

For the cheese sauce

  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 250 ml of milk
  • 50 g grated cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika powder
  • Salt to taste

How to make it?

Add the herbs for the chicken in a bowl and mix together. Put 1 teaspoon of the herbs on each side of the chicken breast. Spread the seasoning by rubbing it over the chicken with your hands.

Heat a frying pan with a little oil and fry the chicken in it.

In the meantime you can make the cheese sauce.

Heat the butter in a small saucepan. When it has melted, add the flour. Stir through the butter with a whisk. Add the milk little by little.

Heat the white sauce and keep stirring. The sauce will now thicken, add the cheese and heat it for a while so it can melt.

Add the spices and season with salt.

Serve the chicken with cheese sauce and Mexican rice.
