It’s Peanuts!

Delicious cooking doesn’t have to be difficult. With a good recipe and good instructions, anyone can cook up a great meal.

Cooking peanuts is an online cooking blog where you can find recipes from breakfast to dinner with clear instructions to follow. Most of the recipes are kids proof or have a kids proof tip at the bottom of the recipe.

About me and my family

The only real passion I have had throughout my young and adult life is cooking. From my teenage years I have always helped with cooking or made full meals by myself.

But I don’t really know who I got this passion for cooking from, neither my mother nor grandmothers have ever had a real passion for cooking. There was a home cooked meal on the table every night, but the usual day to day.

So I think I have developed the passion myself, but in the meantime I have already passed it on to my daughter. Whenever I am in the kitchen she’s by my side. She wants to help with everything or comes up with new recipe ideas . She also finds the food photography very interesting.

Within a few years, she might take over a part of the blog. In the meantime I really enjoy sharing this passion with her.

My husband is my biggest supporter, he also takes care of the IT side of this blog. But above all, he is my test person at the front row. He is also the person who encouraged me to start this blog. I kept collecting recipes. You can already write a book, he said one day. So, we started talking more and more about digitizing all these recipes and also allowing others to enjoy the delicious food.

Our little family, which lives in Belgium, would not be complete without our now 10 year old dog, Crumble. I can’t keep him out of my kitchen when I’m cooking either. But for a different reason than our daughter. He makes sure my kitchen floor is neatly cleaned up when I spill, HAHAHA,… ..

So everyone has their place behind the scenes of this blog 😉.

About cooking peanuts

All recipes you find on this blog have been tested and tasted. Most ingredients are easy to find in the supermarket or you can find them online.

I really love Asian cuisine, and if this is your thing, you will definitely find new inspiration here.

All the ingredients you see in the photos are also eaten afterwards, so nothing is used to make the photos look nicer, beside a basil or mint leaf 😉. But I think it’s a shame to throw food away. So everything in my photos is also edible. This is how your dish will look like if you follow the recipes.

Happy Cooking!
