Mexican Rice

This dish is super easy to make. Delicious as a side dish with other Mexican food.

The rice has a slightly spicy taste, the sauce is completely absorbed by the rice, which ensures that it sticks nicely to the rice and gives it a delicious taste.

What do you need?

  • 250 gr (8,8 oz) long grain rice
  • 400 ml (14 oz) chicken stock
  • 270 gr (9,5 oz) pasta
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder

How to make it?

Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Add the rice and cook for 3 minutes on medium high heat.

Add the stock, passata and herbs. Stir well.

Cover the frying pan and reduce your heat a bit to just below medium high and cook for 25 minutes. Stir frequently.

Taste if the rice is cooked, if not let it stand a little longer.
