Mediterranean Pizza With Chicken And Feta Cheese
A delicious pizza with a soft sauce as a base. This neutral sauce brings out the flavors of the other ingredients. The balsamic at the end just completes the pizza.
What do you need?
- 250 gr (8,8 oz) homemade pizza dough or 1 roll of pizza dough
- 1 chicken fillet, cut into strips
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- Pepper and salt
- 1 red pepper, cut into strips
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 100 gr (3,5 oz) feta cheese
- 1 tablespoon of capers
- 50 gr (1,7 oz) grated cheese
- Balsamic
For the sauce
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 200 ml (7 oz) of milk
- Pepper and salt
How to make it?
Preheat the oven to 220 °C or 430°F (200 °C or 390°F hot air). Cover an oven tray with baking paper.
Dust your work surface with flour and roll out the dough into any shape you like. Place the dough on the baking tray.
Make the sauce for the pizza. Take a small saucepan and let the butter melt. Remove from the heat and add the flour. With a whisk you mix the flour with the butter. Now add the milk little by little. Heat up the sauce and keep stirring. The sauce will now thicken. Season with salt and pepper.
Brush the pizza base with the white sauce, leaving the edges free.
Fry the chicken strips, season with oregano, salt and pepper. When the chicken is ready, divide it over the pizza.
Now fry the bell pepper for 3 minutes together with the minced garlic. Also divide this over the pizza.
Crumble the feta cheese over the pizza and divide the capers over it as well.
Finally, sprinkle the grated cheese over it.
Let the pizza bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
Divide the balsamic over the whole and serve.
Bon Appetit!
