Ferrero Nutella Muffins

This is the muffin for every nutella / Ferrero lover. A delicious muffin with nutella filling. The combination of nutella filling and chocolate / hazelnut topping immediately reminds you of a Ferrero Rocher.

What do you need?

  • 280 gr (9,87 oz) all- purpose flour
  • 300 gr (10,58 oz) white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 370 ml (13, 05 oz) of milk
  • 1 egg
  • 30 gr (1,06 oz) butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 6 tablespoons of nutella choco

For the topping

  • 50 gr (1,76 oz) brown or black chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 6 tablespoons of finely chopped hazelnuts

How to make it?

Preheat an oven to 180 °C or 30°F (160 °C or 320 °F hot air). Take a muffin pan, place a muffin or cupcake paper cup in each cup, spray the cups with baking spray. This makes it easier to get the paper cup of the muffins.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.

In another bowl add the milk, egg, melted butter and vanilla extract. Stir these well together.

Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture. And stir well.

Fill Half of each muffin cup with batter, then add ½ tablespoon of Nutella Choco to each cup. Then spoon some batter on top of the Nutella. Fill each cup almost to the top.

Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Let the muffins cool on a rack for 15 minutes.

Melt the chocolate with two tablespoons of milk. You can simply put this in the microwave. But make sure the chocolate doesn’t burn so start with 30 seconds. In between, stir the chocolate.

In another bowl you put the chopped hazelnuts.

Now pass each top of the muffin through the chocolate and then through the hazelnut pieces.

Allow to cool further or serve immediately.
