Smoked Salmon Spread
I really like smoked salmon and I also like the spread version. It’s just a pity that the versions you can buy in the store contain a lot of mayonnaise.
That’s why I like to make my own salmon spread. It’s quickly made and I use cream cheese instead of mayonnaise. This makes the spread much fresher and less greasy in taste.
This smoked salmon spread can be served as a tapas with crackers or with a tasty bun or on a slice of bread.
What do you need?
- 200 gr (7 oz) smoked salmon
- 150 gr (5 oz) cream cheese (I used Philadelphia)
- 1 teaspoon of mustard
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of fresh dill
- Black pepper to taste
How to make it?
Finely chop the smoked salmon and put it in a bowl.
Finely chop the dill and add to the salmon.
In another bowl, add the cream cheese, mustard, olive oil, and pepper. Mix these well together. This also makes the cream cheese less firm.
Now add the cream cheese to the smoked salmon and mix well.
Bon Appetit!
