Oven Baked Donuts
Donuts are always a great treat. There form alone, makes it fun to eat. But if you are like me, you don’t want to go to all the trouble just to make yourself some regular donuts. These donuts are a very nice alternative. They taste different from regular donuts, much less greasy. It’s more a delicious fluffy cake. But even with a different taste these are always a hit.
What do you need?
- 1 cup or 120 gr flour
- 1/3 cup or 70 gr of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons or 28 gr unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup + 1 ½ tablespoon or 100 ml of milk
Vanilla frosting:
- ½ cup or 80 gr powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Pinches of salt
- 1 or 2 tablespoons of milk
Decoration
- Raspberry marshmallows
- Colored sugar
How to make it?
Preheat the oven to 350°F or 180 °C (160 °C hot air).
Spray your donut pan with baking spray and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, stir them together.
In a small bowl, put all the other ingredients, unsalted butter, egg, vanilla extract and milk. Stir well too, so it forms a whole.
Now add the ingredients of the small bowl to the large and stir well to get a nice batter. You can just do this with a pan scraper.

Put your batter in a piping bag. If you don’t have this you can also use a ziplock bag and cut a small hole from one of the corners.
Pipe the dough into the donut pan, fill each donut shape for ¾, they will rise in the oven.
Put your donut pan in the oven. Bake 10 minutes for mini donuts and 15 minutes for large ones. When they turn light brown they are ready.
Remove them from the donut pan and let them cool on a cool rack.

Take a bowl and put the icing sugar in it, add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Add only one spoon of milk first and then add little by little depending on how runny you like your glaze. If you like a solid thick glaze, don’t use too much milk.
Dip each donut in the glaze and finish with colored sugar and / or marshmallows.
Bon Appetit!
