FUN With Kids: Marzipan Pigs
This is the same recipe as for the regular white marzipan, so it doesn’t taste any different from the regular marzipan.
This was especially for my little assistant that we made these. A fun creative activity that’s also super tasty.
Our daughter, Alyssa, is not really fond of marzipan, but miraculously she loved this homemade one. From now on I will never buy marzipan in the store again. This one is so much better.
What do you need?
- 250 gr marzipan (1/2 of the recipe)
- Red food coloring
- Sugar eyes
How to make it?
Knead a little red food coloring into the marzipan. If it is difficult to mix, wet your hands this will moisten the marzipan a little and make it easier to knead.
Roll into a cylinder shape and cut this cylinder into discs. Keep a bit of marzipan aside for the ears and noses.
Put eyes on each circle. Make ovals, these are for the noses. Place it under the eyes and poke holes in the nose.
Make two triangles for the ears. Attach them to the heads.
Bon Appetit!
