Pasta Provencal

You can have this pasta on your dinner table in no time. IT’s the perfect meal for a weekday. It is nice and creamy due to the grated cheese and it’s nice full flavor comes from the combination of Provencal sauce and the tex mex spices. As you already know, my husband and daughter love everything that is pasta. This dish was again a big hit.

What do you need?

  • 300gr (10 oz) pasta
  • 200 gr (7 oz) minced meat
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green pepper, cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons tex mex
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 150 ml (5 oz) of water
  • 1 jar of Provencal sauce (250 gr)
  • 50 gr (1,5 oz) of grated cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil
  • Salt

How to make it?

In a large cooking pot, cook the pasta as described on the packaging.

In the meantime, fry the onion, garlic and bell pepper in a large frying pan for about 2 minutes. The onion must still be glassy.

Add the minced meat and fry until cooked. I use a fork to crush the minced meat in the pan so that it doesn’t form large pieces of meat in the sauce.

Add the tex mex herbs and dried basil. Stir the herbs well under the minced meat mixture.

Add the sauce and the water to the minced meat mixture. Let it simmer for a while so the sauce also warms up. (2 minutes)

Then add the sauce to the poured pasta and stir the grated cheese under it.

Season with salt if necessary and serve.

Bon Appetit!
