Sweet Chicken Meatballs
Delicious sweet chicken meatballs, an ideal aperitif snack or you can serve it as an evening meal with a portion of jasmine rice. It is also a child-friendly dish, not at all spicy.
What do you need?
- 500 gr (17 oz) minced chicken
- 1 teaspoon of ginger, ground
- 4 cloves of garlic, pressed
- 1 egg
- 100 g (3,5 oz) breadcrumbs (I used panko)
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, low sodium
- 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce
- 2 spring onions, cut
- Sesame seeds
How to make it?
Preheat the oven to 180 °C or 350°F (160 °C or 320°C hot air). Cover an oven plate with baking paper and rub it with oil.
In a large bowl, put the minced chicken together with the garlic, ginger, egg and panko. Also add the sesame oil and 1 spoon of soy sauce. Put well together.
Make meatballs about the size of a golf ball. Then place them on the oven plate.
Bake the balls for 10 minutes, turn them over and bake for another 10 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix the 3 tablespoons of soy sauce with the hoisin sauce.
Place the baked meatballs in a large frying pan and pour that sauce over them. Bake together for 2 minutes.
Serve with spring onions and sesame seeds.
Bon Appetit!
