German Eiskaffee (Iced Coffee)

This is not just a cold coffee, it’s so much more. This is the German version of the Iced Coffee. With its ice cream and whipped cream, it’s more like a deluxe milkshake.

We are real coffee fanatics and I choice one of our best coffees to make this Eiskaffee and did it with the pour over method.

But you don’t have to worry about not being able to make a great eiskaffee with a regular simple coffee or Nespresso.

Feel free to use your regular coffee, you don’t have to order a special coffee from a specialist coffee store to make this drink.

If your coffee is a bit too bitter when it’s cooled down, you can always add an extra scoop of sugar.

What do you need?

  • 300 ml (10 oz) of coffee
  • 200 ml 7 oz)  cream
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 6 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • Chocolate sprinkles (optional)

How to make it?

The first thing you do, is making your favorite coffee. Put it in the fridge for at least an hour so it can cool down.

Make the whipped cream with the icing sugar. Put it in a piping bag with a nozzle of choice.

Take a tall glass and add 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Pour half of the coffee over it.

To finish, do whipped cream on top of coffee. The whipped cream may rise above the glass.

Sprinkle some chocolate sprinkles on the whipped cream and serve with a straw and spoon.

Bon Appetit!
