Mini teriyaki chicken skewers

It’s not a secret that I am fond of Asian cuisine, but not only for evening meals I like to pick this cuisine. These delicious teriyaki skewers are delicious with an appetizer and not difficult to make.

If you cook Asian food more often, I bet you already have all the ingredients for this marinade.

What do you need?

  • 2 chicken fillets (300 gr or 10 oz)
  • 4 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger powder
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds
  • 20 mini satay sticks

How to make it?

Cut the chicken fillets into small cubes, so 2 would fit on a mini satay stick. Place the cubes in a bowl.

In a small bowl make the marinade by adding the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and garlic, mix well.

Pour the marinade sauce over the chicken cubes. Cover the bowl with the chicken and put it in the fridge. Leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C or 360°F hot air. Take an oven tray out of your oven and cover it with baking paper.

Place the chicken cubes on the skewers and place them on the oven tray. Don’t put them to close together.

When all the sticks are on the oven tray, spoon half a teaspoon of the marinade over each satay.

Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the skewers and put the tray in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes.

Serve with sweet chili sauce or any other sauce you like.

Bon Appetit!
