Tuna steak with sesame seeds
This is a delicious dish. I love raw fish, it’s something that always tastes good. But this tuna steak with sesame seeds is just that little bit more.
The delicious marinade flavor is subtle, even after baking you still taste it. This dish is just it.
I do recommend if you have the time to marinate the tuna steak for 3 hours so the flavor of the marinade can fully absorb into your tuna steak.
What do you need?
- 2 tuna steaks
- 6 tablespoons of white sesame seeds
- 6 tablespoons black sesame seeds (toasted)
For the marinade
- 120 ml (4 oz) soy sauce
- 60 ml (2 oz) of rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of Ginger powder
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of lime juice
- 1 spring onion, chopped
How to make it?
Take a bowl and add all the ingredients for the marinade in it, except the spring onion. Mix the marinade well so the sugar is dissolved.
Place the tuna steak in a bowl, do not take one that is too large, so the marinade can completely surround the tuna.
Pour the marinade over the tuna and sprinkle the spring onion on top. Spoon a little marinade over the tuna and cover the dish. Place in the refrigerator and marinate for at least 30 minutes – 3 hours.
Mix the white and black sesame seeds in a deep plate.
Remove the tuna from the marinade and place it along each side in the sesame seeds.
Briefly fry the tuna steak in a frying pan with oil. (2 minutes on each side)
Cut into pieces and you can serve it with a salad if you like.
Bon Appetit!
