9 Buns
Bundle Of Buns
Do you also love that delicious fresh bread scent that fills your house? During the weekend I like to exchange the homemade bread for small sandwiches or rolls.
Bread dough takes time to rise, but in itself it is not that much work. These buns are also super fun to bring to the table during a family brunch.
I always make small and large balls, so everyone can choose which large one he likes to take.
What do you need?
- 300 gr (10,6 oz) patent flour
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 12 gr ( 0,4 oz) unsalted butter
- 15 gr (0,5 oz) bread improver (optional)
- 6 gr (0,2 oz) of salt
- 5 gr (0,17 oz) of instant dry yeast
- 160 ml (5,4 oz) lukewarm water
How to make it?
Weigh all ingredients and put them in a bowl, knead for 10 minutes with the dough hook of your mixer or do it with your hands.
Prepare a bowl and grease it with some olive oil. When the dough is ready, make a ball of the dough and roll it around in the bowl, so that the dough ball is covered with oil.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean dry kitchen towel. Let the dough rise in a warm draft-free place for 1 hour.
Prepare an oven tray with baking spray.
Make small balls of the dough (from this amount you can get 6-9 balls), you can weigh them so they all have the same size. I usually do it without weighing them. This provides some variation in size and everyone can choose which size they want.
Cover the dough balls again and let rise again for 1 hour.
Preheat your oven to 200 °C or 390°F (180 °C or 360°F for hot air).
Bake for 15-20 minutes until they are nicely browned. Remove them from the oven and cool on a cooling rack. Do not break the buns until you eat them or they will dry out more quickly.
Bon Appetit!
