Chicken In Teriyaki Sauce
Another super-fast Asian dish, I just can’t get enough of this cuisine. I often hear from my husband, I don’t think we should go to a Chinese restaurant anymore , wouldn’t know what to take that is better than what you prepare. I think it is a nice compliment.
I used to think it was so difficult to cook Asian to get that combination. But actually once you have made a few dishes, it often comes back to a few basic ingredients and then 1 or 2 different main ingredients to determine the taste.
I chose to make this teriyaki sauce nice and sweet by adding a little honey to it, so the salty taste of the teriyaki doesn’t come through that much. By allowing the sauce to fry for a while, it will also caramelize nicely, just delicious.
What do you need?
- 2 chicken fillets
- 100 gr (3,5 oz) corn starch
- 1 Spring onion, chopped
For the sauce
- 125 ml (4,4 oz) teriyaki sauce
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
How to make it?
Cut the chicken fillets into cubes or strips.
Take a bowl and put the corn starch in it, roll each chicken cube through the corn starch.
Heat a frying pan with two tablespoons of oil and fry the chicken in it.
Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and pour it over the chicken.
Because the chicken is rolled in corn starch, the sauce will thicken. Let the sauce heat up for two minutes.
Serve with spring onions
Bon Appetit!
