Sugar Waffles
Delicious crispy sugar waffles. A super easy recipe, you just have to be a little patient because the dough rests in the fridge for an hour.
You can also keep the baked waffles perfectly until the next day.
What do you need?
- 100 gr (3,5 oz) butter, room temperature
- 40 gr (1,4 oz) white sugar
- 80 gr (2,8 oz) vanilla sugar
- 1 egg
- 60 ml (2,11 oz) of milk
- 250 gr (8,8 oz) self-rising flour
- 130 gr (4,9 oz) pearl sugar
How to make it?
Take a large bowl and add the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar. mix this for 3 minutes into a creamy mass.
Add the egg and mix it with the butter mixture. When the egg is completely mixed into the butter mixture you can add the milk little by little.
When the milk is completely absorbed, add the flour and mix it into the batter. Do not mix longer than necessary.
Stir the pearl sugar into the batter. Cover the bowl and put in the fridge for 1 hour.
Heat your waffle iron, spray baking spray on the top and bottom of your waffle iron.
Put the batter in your waffle iron. I use an ice cream scoop to do this. That way you have about the same size of waffles.
Let them bake nicely brown, carefully remove them from your waffle iron and let them cool on a rack.
Bon Appetit!
